29-161 - Incident Command Unit

29-161 is a 1998 GMC Suburban. This vehicle is used buy our Chief as a first response unit. Car 161 carries the necessary preemptive fire equipment such as fire extinguishers, thermal imaging camera, CO2 and multi-gas meters, as well as radio equipment allowing the Chief to communicate with various surrounding emrgency services.

29-162 - Fire Police/Support Unit

29-162 is a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice. This vehicle is primarily used by the Fire Police when assisting in traffic control on the highways, or marking an access point for responding fire and rescue units.

29-101 - First Duel Engine

29-101 is a 1997 Pierce Dash 1500/750 Engine. This vehicle is first out on all fire and emergency calls. Engine 101 is equipped with Hurst ‘Jaws' tools and accessories and all the necessary firefighting equipment. It is also equipped with a thermal imaging camera, multi-gas meter and CO2 meter. Engine 101 also caries1000' of 5” LDH hose, 150' of 1 1/2” trash line and 500' of 2 1/2' Supply to gated wye. This engine is manned by a crew of 6 firefighters.

29-102 - Second Due Engine

29-102 is a 1997 Pierce Lance 1500/750 Engine. This vehicle is second due to all fires and emergencies. Engine 102 carries the same firefighting equipment as Engine 101. In place of rescue tools is a portable pump used to support tanker/water tender operations, as well as drafting equipment, and four lengths of flexible hard suction to utilize water from pools or streams. This unit can be manned by as many as 10 firefighters.

29-121 - Ladder Tower

29-121 is a 1989 Hahn/Ladder Tower, Inc. 100' Tower Ladder. Truck 121 carries all the necessary ground ladders, overhaul and ventilation equipment. It is also equipped with an on-board electrical generator for running power equipment and scene lighting.

29-132 - Tanker

29-132 is a 1996 Peterbuilt/Walker Stainless 3300 gallon water tanker. This unit is our primary water source for the response area west of Route 206 and portions of Far Hills where fire hydrants do not exist. It also responds to all motor vehicle fires, acting as the primary water source for the engines. Tanker 132 also carries a  3,000 gallon portable tank for water shuttle operations when use of multiple tanker units and continuous water flow is required.

29-151 - Tactical Support Unit

29-151 is our tactical support and rescue unit. 151 responds to all motor vehicle collisions, haz-mat incidents and major fires. This unit caries extra rescue, fire and haz-mat abatement equipment, as well as portable generators and power units for the ‘Jaws' tools.. One of the most unique features of this truck is the light tower, which raises up over 50 feet in the air to illuminate scenes where we need to work. The ‘coffin' boxes on the top of the body are used to store tools and a wide variety supplies. They are accessed by a rear facing ladder. Built and delivered by Pierce Manufacturing, Appleton Wisconsin in the summer of 2006.
